My name is Melitza. My friends call me Mel, and my family and closest loved ones call me Lisa, a name that always gives me a warm feeling.

I was born on the sunny island of Curaçao, where color, warmth, and rhythm are part of everyday life. In 2007, I moved to the Netherlands to study, carrying big dreams and an open heart.

After my studies, I worked for several years in biomedical research. In 2019, I followed a long-held desire and made the transition into debt counseling, work that felt meaningful and close to my values.

Yet, quietly, there was always another part of me asking for space. A creative part.Then came 2024—a year marked by loss and profound change. The passing of my father, combined with an intense childbirth experience, brought everything to a pause.

And in that stillness, something new began.
I asked myself gently:
What gives me energy?
What brings me joy?
What truly feels like me?

From that place, MelBellen was born.
A creative space where I allow myself to explore, create, and play. A way to bring color, joy, and island vibes back into my life, and hopefully into yours too.

MelBellen is more than jewelry.
It is a reflection of resilience, faith, creativity, and the journey of finding yourself again.
